They say that New England is the nation's attic... I'm happy to be able to pick
through the attic and present to you some of the things I've found.

American Art Nouveau Period
Cast Iron Table Lamp Base in Original Paint

Here's a small cast iron table lamp base in original paint! It dates to 1915-25 and is in the American Art Nouveau style. 20 inches tall, it has been rewired with a period appropriate gold fabric covered cord.

I can't be certain that the light socket is original to the base, but it is period appropriate. It's an Arrow brand push button switch, solid brass, and was on the lamp when I found it. Why do I wonder if it's original? It has UNO threads, a feature necessarily found on bridge lamps and hanging lamps, but not necessarily on a table lamp such as this one. It could well be the first and only socket this lamp has ever had... I simply don't know for sure.

There is no damage to the cast iron; all paint is guaranteed original; no repairs or restorations have been made save as noted above. Click on any of the images below to see just how good the paint is!

The shade seen in the last image, below, is for illustration only. 10 inches in diameter and 7-1/2 inches tall, it is the correct size for this base, but since you may prefer a different shape or style, I leave the hunt for a shade and a finial to you.
